I had to go to work last night...got called in on my night off. We were crazy busy and the servers were mean :-(
It's been busy week for me. It's been filled with out of town family (namely my cousin Anastasia from Arizona whom I haven't talked to face to face since October 2001) and random adventures (such as driving over to Whitworth with Stacy in the wee hours of morning for breakfast...okay so it was 8 o'clock) and then riding in a bi-plane with a guy I barely know flying it (don't worry...he seems pretty 'safe' if you know what I mean). Also, trying to help Amanda learn songs for belles try-outs. I haven't really had much time to do my own practicing.
Add that to trying to call Erin every day and that's pretty much my week.
So i've got a new voice student as well...a friend of my mom's daughter. We're meeting on Thursday for the first time. I'm nervous, but excited to start down this road!
Also, my boss at work is trying to find someone to replace me at the helm during the day so i can start training to be a server. It's not looking good, cause most people she's interviewed are already experienced servers and won't accept a host position, or they're not available during the day. But I've been promised a raise even if i don't get moved up. Lenea, aka boss lady, didn't want me to move up because I'm "such a rockstar at the hoststand" and she doesn't want to lose. That, or she thinks I'd make a crap server. Either way.
All right. Get ready for church? Maybe.
