To be completely honest, if I could sleep my way into a good graduate program I probably would. It would save me a whole lot of aggravation.

Okay, obviously I'm feeling a little disillusioned right now and would not actually sleep my way into graduate school. I'm not even sure how one would go about it anyway.
This application process, then auditioning, it just sucks. And it sucks doubly because I feel like I'm not going to get in anywhere. But I guess we'll have to wait and see. Well, first I need to send in the applications, and THEN we'll have to wait and see.

On the upside, I got an e-mail today telling me that I've been accepted to sing in the finals for the Coeur d'Alene Symphony's Young Artist Competition. I sent in a recording a couple of weeks ago for consideration, and just heard back today. Honestly, the recording was so bad (quality wise) I figured they wouldn't even give it a chance, but they must have listened to it all the way through, I guess, or they just didn't have enough people to compete and needed another body. Either way, I'm in. Sweet.
