Does it matter that I've been nibbling on various treats all night at work? No. I still come home craving salty snacks. It's all i can do to keep myself from microwaving myself a pot pie. That's just not necessary at 11:00 at night when you're not even hungry.
Speaking of work, it was one of those magical nights when I was kind of bored from lack of business, but discovered I'd somehow made $25+ an hour in tips. Sweet. Honestly, I was like "What the hell?! I feel like I barely worked!" Oooh, I just love those nights when it feels like I'm stealing money.
Tomorrow is my only day off this week. I'm not looking forward to the weekend..that's for sure. Mother's Day and Gonzaga University graduation, not to mention we're still in the middle of prom season. And I work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Something tells me they won't be as much of a breeze as tonight was. Thankfully on Wednesday and Thursday I'm working some lunch buffets, so that should be pretty easy. A sort of calm before the storm.
So I had a pretty good friend filled weekend. Bekah, Erin, and Ryna came over from their various towns to run/walk Bloomsday. I spent all day with Erin and Bekah who arrived Friday night. We went to Molly's for breakfast, to Manito Park, to Comstock Park for some swinging, hung out at my house and they watched me make a bed...it was pretty thrilling stuff! Thankfully things got a little more exciting later on when Ryna joined us and we headed to Barnes and Noble for books and coffee, then we had dinner at Lisa's, MORE swinging at Comstock, and finally a dance party at my house. It was a little tough to get everyone into the Britney, but once we started spinning Hellogoodbye no one could resist.
Later my friends needed to get rested for Bloomsday, and I needed to not feel pathetic and fall asleep on MY couch, (I was already feeling pretty boring and pathetic cause I'm such a lame hostess), and plus I hadn't seen James since Tuesday, so I drove out to Medical Lake to meet him at a bar called The Wagon Wheel. It was pretty ghetto, but we didn't stay there even long enough for me to get a drink. We headed over to his friends' house which was about 15 minutes away. James drove with me, and then he popped in a Mariah Carey CD and we both sang along to 'Fantasy' and pretty much knew every word. And then he took it out and put in Pinkerton and we sang "El Scorcho" and "Pink Triangle" etc. at the top of our lungs. So bad for my vocal chords, but so entertaining.
I kind of like this guy. He's kind of a weirdo. Go fig.

Bekah and Erin left pretty quickly after Bloomsday and a quick lunch at my house, as they had to drive back to the other side of the state. Ryna stayed an extra day at my house but was probably bored out of her mind the whole time. Hopefully she just enjoyed relaxing and not being at work, and being entertained by the random family banter. I tried to think of cool things to do, but we just went to another park. Apparently that's the only thing I know how to do to entertain guests. Get food and go to parks.

Tomorrow is supposed to be 80 degrees and I don't have to work, and I don't think I'm going to be having a lesson either, so there's a pretty good chance I'll end up at a park at some point during the day. I'm hoping to hang out with Kira during the day, but she's been feeling nauseous and weak so i'd hate to bug her, and James in the evening, but he's doing survival training out at the base and may be too exhausted to hang out. So a park may be my only option. We'll see.

Good night.
