It's getting to be that time of year when you see a lot of moths around the Steam Plant Grill. This is a time of year I hate, because, well, you know how i feel about moths.

I have to work a double today. Two parties back to back. That's a lot of manual labor what with furniture moving, heavy tray carrying, restraining myself from swearing at/punching people, etc. etc. I'll probably be at the ol' SPG for a good 12 hours. Maybe more, depending on how long my dinner party sticks around. Shoot me in the face right now, please.

The upside, Stacy and I MIGHT go and karaoke it tonight. We'll see how I feel after work.

I took my parents to dinner last night for birthday/mother's day (a month late I realize) and we had a pretty good time. The best part of the conversation was reminiscing about when Dad was "Otto," the mascot for the Spokane Indians and he had to go all over town dressed in a giant blue "Spokaneasauras" costume that smelled like absolute ass and entertain kids who tried to rip his head off and pull on his tail at various events. And he really enjoyed doing it, too, except for the smelling like ass part. Oh my dad, what a weirdo, and a really good sport.

quote: "Far...we've been travelling far...we're gonna get a puppy beagle." Stacy, to the tune of that Neil Diamond song "America" and with a Neil Diamond-esque voice. I laughed for about 10 minutes and then 20 more when I thought about it later in the day. (and no we're not actually getting a "puppy beagle.")

yesterday // life goes on

I'd love to turn you on...
