All is feeling a little bit right at the moment.

After a week of staring blankly at the DAT equipment I recorded myself on almost two weeks ago (my first attempt to record it onto my computer was unsuccessful, which frustrated and scared me away), I finally gave it another shot and spent nearly three hours today figuring out how to record the tracks onto the comp, editing them a lil bit, and finally deciding which ones I liked best and putting them on CD. It took forever, but I think I've made something pretty good. Even if it doesn't get me into the illustrious Jennifer Lane's vocal studio, it'll be nice to have some decent, recent recordings to send off for auditions for other programs, festivals, teachers, etc. Plus, I can give a copy to my grandparents for Christmas. SWEET.

In other news, i posted an ad on facebook a couple of days ago that I needed a place to live once I start school in Denton, TX in August. Yes, i finally began the roommate search in earnest. I am completely surprised at the response I've gotten! Right now, there are four possibilities I'm looking into (but I seem to get another really good possibility every day, so we'll see what tomorrow holds) but there's one in particular that's feeling pretty right. There's a guy and a girl looking for a roommie, they have a house, the rent is lower than any other of the possibilities I'm looking into, and these two seem pretty nerdy and cool, which I'm always into. Plus, the guy is from Oregon and is excited at the prospect of living with "another northerner." I dunno though. We'll see what happens.

What with the excitement of finally getting my DAT onto a CD and thinking about possible living situations and cool roommates, I kind of forgot that I'm going to Texas to get my ass whipped educationally. Darn it!

Tomorrow should be fun too...going underwear shopping with Kira in the morning (semi-annual sale at good ol' Vicky's) and then going on an adventure to Yakima with Sabrina which will be some good quality time. I'm all about quality time.

And on top of all of this, I'm feeling pretty good about things in general.

All right, I should go to bed now so I'm up and ready to look at a large assortment of dainties. Nighty night.
