Today I was outside helping my dad remove a ton of nasty raspberry bushes from our backyard. I was afraid that in the process of hacking and sawing and pulling that I was going to come across a beehive or something. But there weren't any bees, besides the random stray bumblebee that just annoyed me. What I DID come across, however, was a dead cat. A very recently dead cat...one that i've seen around the neighborhood. I don't know who it belonged to, though, and there was no indication of how it died. It was definitely still in the rigor mortis stage, made completely obvious by the fact that it didn't flop at all when dad picked it up with a shovel and put it in a bag.

Needless to say, it kind of put a damper on my gung-ho removing raspberry bushes attitude. It made the whole day weird.
