I have the day off and am going on a six mile hike around Liberty Lake. I was going to just force my younger sister to come with me, but then Tom ended up having the day off as well, so he's joining, and then Dad caught wind of it and he wants to come too.
Hmm. This could be fun, but it could also get annoying. I'd like to go by myself, but it's rattlesnake season and there have been too many reports lately of people getting chased by coyotes. haha. That's only funny because I'm not joking.
Yesterday i randomly took an alternate route home from work, and in the process this little car cut me off, which initially got me pissed, then curious. On the back window someone had written in big white letters "I love you, Jen." Now, while I realize this message was not literally meant for me by whoever wrote it, maybe in some big, crazy, God-is-speaking way, it was.
Tom and I went out to coffee last night. He's a good brother, and a good guy overall: extremely respectful of women, has always treated his girlfriends like gold, and has always carried himself with a sense of integrity. He has been pretty well trained by being smack dab in the middle of four sisters, after all. I think watching him with girls has given his sisters unrealistic expectations of how men should act.
That being said, I hope he doesn't turn into an asshole. I've heard the worst, most bitterness inducing stories about the "best" super Christian guys. It kind of makes my stomach turn. At least with the "bad" ones you know it's probably just your own darn fault.
