I was just eating a pomegranate and it made me wonder what the first person who ever ate one must have thought when they broke it open. I bet they were pleasantly surprised, cause they are so unspectacular from the outside, but inside, like a thousand little rubies. Delicious, edible ones at that.
When I got home from work tonight, no one was home and Erin's bedroom door was open, which is weird, cause it's never open. I heard a cricket in there. I thought, "well, maybe that's what she feeds her tarantulas." But then I had this ridiculous vision of a giant cricket hiding in the corner of Erin's bedroom...patiently lying in wait. And it would resemble "No Face" from Spirited Away. Well, too bad for mr. No Face Cricket, I have no reason to go into my roommate's room when she's not home, so unless he ventures upstairs (oh man...why did I say that?) I'm good.
Now I'm going to be perhaps the world's biggest nerd and leave my house at 10:15 on a Friday night to go and study alone at a coffee shop. And I'm very okay with that.
